It just it had it wouldn't go away. And I knew in my heart, like the quickest way to solve that is stop complaining. And if you're so sure that you know what you're doing, then just go your do your own thing again.

And then you only have yourself to blame as if it's not running the way you think it should. And so I challenged myself with that and said, well, why don't you just do that then? And I talked to my wife about it.
We prayed about it. We spent a lot of time just saying, am I doing this for ego reasons? Why am I doing this? And I just realized it's a passion and this is kind of what I've been waiting to do.

One question I often ask of my guests is why buy a business rather than start one from scratch? You've already answered that. The point was to fix what you wanted to do.
This passion was fix an existing business. Therefore, to do it for yourself meant buying an existing business, not starting something from scratch.
Yes. And here's what's interesting. So throughout my career, I was kind of the turnaround specialist. I was the fixer. And so they would throw me in the bottom 10% of the locations or I would go in to help a struggling location with their facility or their sales team or whatever.
And so that's really been my pattern my whole life. And I kind of thought in the back of my mind, whatever business I buy is going to have some issues that I'm going to have to adjust. And I ended up buying a Super Bowl team.
And I got to take over a Super Bowl team and, you know, try being the head coach of a team that just won the Super Bowl and you're the new coach. It's like, well, don't mess this up. And so it's been a it's been an interesting process.
